Beyond Conventional Boundaries: Reconsidering Consciousness, Cosmos, and Complexity Through Speculative Interdisciplinary Lenses

Contemporary scientific and philosophical paradigms have achieved remarkable explanatory success in domains ranging from particle physics to neurobiology, yet fundamental questions persist at the boundaries of our current frameworks. Problems such as the ‘hard problem’ of consciousness, the origins of physical laws, and the ultimate nature of complexity challenge standard assumptions. While cognitive science, cosmology, molecular biology, and information theory each illuminate significant aspects of reality, they rarely suffice to fully explain experience, mind, or the apparent coherence of the universe itself. In response, we turn to speculative frameworks, heretical to prevailing norms, which consider consciousness as fundamental, planets as cognitive systems, universes evolving through selective processes, and life as a quantum stabilizer of reality. Although these notions lie well beyond accepted science, their careful articulation and critical examination challenge our conceptual boundaries, potentially revealing new paths of inquiry or clarifying the outer limits of our epistemic frameworks, revealing possibilities.
